Since I am "kind of" on hiatus from traveling, I figure I might as well get out and do something worthwhile with my time.
Greetings!
On June 1, 2008, I will be participating in a Century (100 mile) Bike Ride around Lake Tahoe.I've joined up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team In Training program.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is a non-profit health organization dedicated entirely to finding cures and saving lives of those with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.
I'll be training and riding for an honored teammate named Omar Fejzic. Omar Fejzic was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage IV on August 7, 2006, and is currently undergoing Chemotherapy treatment. Omar is seven years old, loves animals, watching Animal Planet, and playing games. To help Omar, and others like him, I've committed to raising $3,900.Please consider making a donation to help find a cure for Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma.
There are two ways to make a donation:
1) Go to my very own Team In Training page:
http://www.active.com/donate/tntdms/studdenham
Click on "Donate now to help me reach my goal:
2) Make a check payable to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and mail to me at the address below.
I also would encourage you to pass this letter on to anyone else who might be interested in helping this cause.
Thank you for considering my invitation.
Sincerely,
Shannon Tuddenham
