After a 15 hour overnight bus ride (the nicest bus I have traveled on in Peru), I arrived in Ica for a night's stay in Huacachina (4 km away) which is a little lagoon town surrounded by Sand Dunes.
Despite my hotel being the most disgusting hotel that I have ever stayed at in my life, I had a great time. I went for a dune buggy ride at sunset, and I tried my hand at sand boarding - like snowboarding just on sand. Lots of fun, but by the end, I had sand everywhere.
