It's been a while since I have updated this blog but I have decided to take a social media break and figure this is a good place for people to follow what I am up to.
This summer has been filled with gravel events, a weekend yoga getaway and a trip to LA.
Dirty Dino Gravel Grinder June 2022...I highly recommend this event. The gravel is pristine. The views were amazing. The event was very well organized. I opted for the 60 mile course. This is the perfect distance as you get in a solid workout and then get to relax while watching other racers ride in. My good friend and teammate, Breanne, directed this event. It was the first year and she did a fantastic job making sure everyone had a great experience.
Teasdale, Utah August 2022...one of my longtime yoga instructors has a beautiful home and land in Teasdale. It was the perfect setting for some sunrise sitting, yoga and connecting with old and new individuals. I have known Kim Dastrup for 12+ years. She is always welcoming and loving towards me no matter how long it's been since I have seen or practiced with her.
RPI, Sun Valley Idaho, September 2022...this was a tough event for me. You get what you train for and boy did that show. With wind for the majority of the day, it made for a long day on the bike. At times I felt like I couldn't produce any power. At the end of the day it was about the experience not the result.
Los Angeles September 2022...I spent the week house/pet sitting for my brother and sister-in-law. Lots of time relaxing which is good for me do even when my mind tells me otherwise. I was able to get in a couple of hikes and long walks.
